Commission initiates federal project for Hazelwood Drive

ASHVILLE — St. Clair County Commissioners approved a resolution at their regular meeting Tuesday, June 10, to initiate the federal project at Hazelwood Drive in Pell City.

St. Clair County and Pell City applied jointly for federal funding for the road project, which will realign Hazelwood from U.S. 231 to the intersection of Veteran’s Parkway, a distance of less than half-a-mile. The resolution states that the county “agrees to all the provisions of the county-wide agreement executed between the state and the county covering preliminary engineering by state forces and equipment on the project.”
