Talk about two singers slaying the same song! Kelly Clarkson treated fans in Detroit with an outstanding version of Brandi Carlile’s “The Joke," the same song Carlile performed at the recent Grammy Awards in which many believe was the best performance of the night.

So who slayed it better? (Videos below)

Clarkson performed the song during her fan choice moment of the show on her tour stop in Detroit on February 21, 2019. She broadcast it live on Facebook and told fans that she herself is a huge fan of Carlile. “I’ve literally been a fan of this artist for well over a decade. She’s amazing. She’s so inspiring, talented and just a really rad human.”

Most music fans already know Clarkson has one of the best set of pipes in the music business, but Carlile stunned a lot of people who didn’t realize just how good her voice was when she performed “The Joke” at the Grammys earlier this month. Carlile, who was nominated for six Grammys, won Best Americana Album, Best American Roots Performance and Best American Roots Song. “The Joke,” which was nominated for Best Song, did not win.

Here are both performances for you to decide which performance is better. Or, just listen to both and enjoy.
