Ethel I. Shober

Ethel Irene Shober, age 89, of Duluth passed away on June 11, 2019 at Essentia Health in Duluth. Ethel (Guptill) Shober was born on April 16, 1930 in Hinckley, MN to Agnes and Alvin Guptill. She attended school in Hinckley, MN. She married John E. Shober on June 10th, 1950 at First Lutheran Church in Hinckley, MN. She enjoyed hunting deer, fishing (especially in Canada), and working in the garden at the family farm in Hinckley. She is preceded in death by her parents, Agnes and Alvin Guptill; her husband, John Edward Shober; her daughter, Jennifer C. Nelson (Shober); her daughter-in-law, Dianne C. Shober. She is survived by her sons, Tom (Joanne) Shober of AZ, John Shober of Superior, WI, David (Julie) Shober of Duluth, Jerry Shober of Hinckley, Paul Shober of Duluth; daughter, Julie (Robert) Noffsinger of Carlton; many grandchildren, great grandchildren nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, June 22, 2019 at First Lutheran Church in Hinckley, MN with Rev. Brenda Wicklund and Rev. Gary Guptill officiating.
