Union Minister Anurag Thakur on Thursday announced that the Union Cabinet has approved a plan to set up a central university in Ladakh at a cost of ₹750 crore. The university is a necessity and will cater to the need of the entire region, Thakur said. The first phase of the varsity will be ready in four years, he added.
