The Dallas Mavericks have been linked to a ton of players over the course of the past few weeks as NBA free agency talks have swirled at their peak. Well, the Mavs need to do something to please superstar Luka Doncic, and it turns out they are close to one move that will definitely bring a smile to his face.

According to Marc Stein, the Mavs are likely to bring back Boban Marjanovic.

“Extreme confidence in Dallas that they will re-sign popular center Boban Marjanovic, league sources say.”

Doncic and Marjanovic have been best friends in Dallas and this move, at the very least, will please the Mavs superstar, who reportedly expressed some frustration with the organization after the end of the season.

The Mavs are surely going to bring in more talent, and the hiring of Jason Kidd, along with bringing in Dirk Nowitzki in a special role, should help free agents want to flock there even more.

It will be an interesting free agency period for the Mavs, but bringing back Marjanovic was always something they wanted to do in an effort to please Doncic, and it appears that things are trending in that direction.
