Drew Remenda will be back on NBC Sports California’s airwaves Thursday night when the Sharks play the St. Louis Blues at Enterprise Center.

Remenda, a former Sharks assistant coach and popular longtime color analyst with the team’s television broadcasts, will be part of the network’s pregame and postgame shows with studio host Brodie Brazil. The pregame show begins at 4:30 p.m. PT.

After working with Sportsnet in Canada for several years, Remenda returned to Bay Area airwaves Feb. 5 and 6, as he appeared on NBCSCA’s pregame and postgame broadcasts for the Sharks’ games with the Anaheim Ducks. He appeared remotely from his home in Saskatchewan while Brazil and analyst Curtis Brown worked in studio.

After Thursday, Remenda is scheduled to appear three more times this season on NBCSCA: next Thursday when the Sharks host the Vegas Golden Knights, on March 1 with the Colorado Avalanche in town, and March 5 with the Sharks again play the Golden Knights.

CENTURY MARK: Monday’s victory by the Sharks over the Ducks marked Bob Boughner’s 100th win as an NHL head coach.

Boughner had a 80-62-22 record in two seasons as the Florida Panthers’ coach from 2017 to 2019 and had a 20-27-4 record with San Jose before Thursday’s game, including a 6-7-1 record this season. Boughner was 14-20-3 last season record as an interim coach before he was officially given the full-time job last September.

A quarter of the way through the season, the Sharks entered Thursday with 13 points, three points back of the Arizona Coyotes for fourth place in the West Division. The top four teams in each division make the playoffs.

“It’s a great feeling, it’s a proud feeling,” Boughner said of reaching the milestone. “From what we went through last year — and no one does this for personal stats, you want to see the team win — and to get back after all this time and playing 14 out of our first 16 on the road, it’s just nice to get the team to the point where we’re still in the mix.”

Starting with Thursday’s game, the Sharks play the Blues four times over their next 16 games until March 17. In that time, the Sharks also play Vegas five times, Anaheim and Colorado twice each and Minnesota once.

Starting March 19, the Sharks play 18 of their final 28 games at home.

“The 100th win was great because it came at home. It’s always a nice feeling, but right now I’m not really concerned with personal kind of things,” Boughner said. “I just want our team to stay in the mix until that third week in March where we have some home (games) against some teams that we feel we can put some points on the on the board (against). Our next nine, 10 games are against tough, tough opponents, and we’ve got to find a way to get points.”
