Denver  Broncos running back Phillip Lindsay (knee) has been ruled out and will not return to Sunday’s game against the New Orleans Saints, the team announced.

Before leaving the game, Lindsay took nine Wildcat snaps as a makeshift quarterback and rushed nine times for 20 yards. He did not attempt any passes.

Denver cornerback Bryce Callahan (foot) has also been ruled out from Sunday’s game. Callahan recorded two tackles before his injury.

With Lindsay sidelined, wide receiver Kendall Hinton will likely take the majority of the snaps at quarterback for the remainder of the game. Hinton is 1-of-9 passing for 13 yards with two interceptions so far.

The Broncos are trailing the Saints 17-3 late in the third quarter.
