Big Brother All-Stars: Nicole Anthony gets evicted by 10-2 vote after she 'lost faith' in advocates

Shifting allegiances saw Nicole Anthony booted off Big-Brother All-Stars on Thursday's elimination episode on CBS.

Her decision not to trust the people who campaigned for her came at a price and she was voted out 10 to 2.

That meant the other contestant up for elimination, David Alexander, 30, was safe.

'Nicole, we've been trying all week to campaign to keep you in this house, and I feel like we failed you,' said Kaysar Ridha, 39, in a goodbye video. 'I think you are an incredible sweetheart, and I hope you understand that it was never meant to be this way.'

Nicole A., 25, cried as she watched his message, possibly realizing her mistake.

Kaysar had worked with Janelle Pierzina, 40, to promote their pal, but they simply couldn't raise enough votes to keep her in, so they joined the opposition.

Asked why she hadn't trusted the pair, Nicole A. said she'd simply 'lost faith' in them.

'In all honesty, I will admit talking to other people in the house and hearing all of them tell me [Janelle] was luring me in, telling me she was lying, it got in my head,' she confessed. 'I will admit, I was wrong.'

After Nicole A. left the house, Tyler Crispen, 23, became the new Head of Household, ending the controversial reign of Robert 'Memphis' Garrett, 37.

Trouble was still brewing within Memphis' dual alliances as the episode began.

Janelle and Kaysar, who were on one team, wanted him to put Nicole Franzel, 28, up for a 'back-door' elimination because they considered her a threat.

Nicole F., who was in a larger alliance with Memphis, wanted him to get Janelle axed, as she worried the woman would soon target her and her crew.

At Wednesday's house veto, Memphis did neither, enraging both sets of alliances.

'This week, I want to stay as neutral as possible,' the restaurateur explained. 'There's two sides to the house right now, and I do not want to have to show my cards.'

Memphis' picks for elimination, Nicole A., and David, both knew they had to fight, and went about the house trying to gain votes that would keep them there.

Nicole A. approached Da'Vonne Rogers, 32, and explained that if she left, there would be an unsettling majority of men in the house.

Da'Vonne said she liked Nicole A., but couldn't take her side, as she had to support David.

'I want you here,' Da'Vonne emphasized. '[But] I can't. He's not my friend. It's not my emotions, it's not my feelings. It has everything to do with the fact that there has never been an African-American winner.'

In a confessional, Da'Vonne revealed that she had made a promise to herself she 'wasn't going to vote out anyone in this house that looked like me.'

'He is my friend,' Nicole A. replied slowly. 'But I also need to fight for my game, and that is what I would ask you to do.'

'You're thinking, ''I want African-Americans to make it far, I want them to win'',' she pointed out. 'Well, maybe that winner should be you. And how are you gonna get there?'

Nicole A. left Da'Vonne to think about things, and Kaysar approached her.

He told her about Memphis' main alliance with Nicole F., Tyler, Cody Calafiore, 29, and Daniele Donato, 33, adding that they were 'running this house.'

When Da'Vonne confronted David about whether he was already in an alliance, he would only say that he had 'safeguards' in place, and urged her to 'contain' herself.

'If you are campaigning for me, maybe [pull back] so they don't put us on the block together,' he whispered, worried about the repercussions.

Da'Vonne was annoyed with David, and vented privately, saying, 'You grown! You got this, you don't need my help! I only played three times now, but you got it!'

Her pal Bayleigh Dayton, 27, soon found out from David why she was so irritated.

'I know Da'Vonne is looking out for me, but she might need to calm down,' David said.

'Did you tell her that?' Bayleigh asked, horrified. 'I don't think that was a good idea.'

She spoke to Da'Vonne about what happened, and wondered, 'Can't we just vote him out?'

'He can go!' Da'Vonne replied, shrugging her shoulders. 'I'm done.'

As Nicole A. continued to campaign for herself, she was upset to hear from a number of people that she was just a pawn in Janelle's game.

She got so worked up by the lack of results she saw from that alliance that she tore into Janelle, calling the support she and Kaysar offered 'a bunch of bulls***.'

To Cody, Nicole A. then announced, 'I want [Janelle's] metaphorical head on a stick.'

Janelle was 'heartbroken' to hear that Nicole A. no longer trusted her, and cried about it.

Things came to a head at the elimination ceremony, where those ties were shaken further.

Both people who were up for eviction had the chance to plead their case to their fellow houseguests before voting.

David spoke first, saying, 'I still want to be here, and I still want to fight. I am thankful to those who have shown love back to me.'

Nicole A. went next, declaring, 'I want to play All-Stars, not all-scared,' and telling contestants to focus on their own game when voting.

Her words had an unintended result, as nearly the entire house voted for her to leav, including Janelle and Kaysar, the duo she believed to be her friends.

Only Enzo Palumbo, 42, and Kevin Campbell, 40, tried to save her.

Outside the house, Nicole A. sat down with show host Julie Chen-Moonves, 50, and explained why she'd been so quick to turn against her pals.

She'd thought they would put in a 'good word' for her with Memphis, she confessed, but quickly started to think they weren't working hard enough to save her.

'It got in my head,' Nicole A. said, before adding, 'I was wrong.'

She teared up watching Kaysar's goodbye message, and nodded empathetically at Da'Vonne's.

'Pretty girl, I had to stick to my guns with this one,' Da'Vonne told her. 'Again, it's nothing about you. I absolutely adore you and I really hope you can understand what happened with my vote. I really, really hope we can continue our friendship on the outside.'

Janelle then came on and apologized, telling Nicole A. she was 'a casualty of war.'

With the elimination over, it was time for the Head of Household competition.

To win the role, houseguests had to slide three beer mugs down three tables into numbered slots. The person whose total numbers were highest would be HoH.

With a score of 12 points, Tyler won the game and was named the new Head of Household.
