Human Cloning – Do you comply with this protocol?

For a number of years now, the cloning of animals has taken place, and this has now opened up the possibility of human cloning as well. While cloning to provide spare body parts has clear advantages for humanity, it poses a range of troubling ethical problems. Most people are horrified by the notion, but it is no longer mere science fiction.

People are living much longer than in the past due to breakthroughs in medical research and healthier diets. This, however, has carried issues with it. Their organs will fail as people age, so they need to replace them. Their organs could then be used to replace those of dying people if humans were cloned. It is actually the case that there are often not enough organ donors around to satisfy this need, so the problem will be solved by cloning humans as a ready supply would then be available.

However, many individuals perceive this as a troubling trend for good reasons. There are, firstly, religious reasons against it. It would entail the existence and ultimately kill of other human beings in order to use their organs, which could be stated as murder. According to religious scriptures, this is clearly a sin.

Dilemmas will also arise on what rights these individuals have, as they will certainly be citizens just like the rest of us. In addition, once we have the capacity to clone humans, where this cloning is going to end has to be questioned. Is it then necessary for individuals to begin to clone relatives or family members who have died?

To conclude, due to the ethical concerns and dilemmas it will raise, I do not agree with this method. It has been a good advancement to clone animals, but this is where it needs to stop.
