A spokesperson for the South Australian Police called the video 'incredibly traumatising' for the man's family.

The L-plater crashed into an 83-year-old woman who was turning onto a road. She was taken to hospital for minor injuries.

Witness Josh Wiedmann said the teenager was riding down the road 'flat out'.

'I looked to where he should have been and he wasn't there then I heard this horrible crash and the fireball came up. I thought, "That doesn't look too good'",' he said.

'He wasn't wearing any of the right gear. He was accelerating off those lights and going way too fast.'
