UWA men’s basketball win in overtime

LIVINGSTON – The University of West Alabama defeated Lee, 86-84, in overtime at home on Saturday night. Mike Davis scored 25 points. Ricky Dunnaway and Darron Johnson both scored 18, and LaJuan Hardy scored 16 points with nine assists.

UWA (13-4 6-3 GSC) hosts Montevallo on Thursday.

LIVINGSTON – No. 7-ranked Lee (17-1, 9-1 GSC) came back from a 16-point deficit to defeat the host University of West Alabama women’s basketball team, 73-62, Saturday.

Top scorers for UWA included Tazsa Garrett-Hammett and Bria Dent, both with 15 points. Dent also had 11 rebounds. Naelyn Rios scored 14 points.
