WAIMEA On Saturday, Jan. 11, the League of Women Voters of Hawaii County and Common Cause Hawaii will host a public panel discussion regarding how The Big Islands Political Parties Are Preparing for the 2020 Elections, with leaders of the states political parties.
WAIMEA — On Saturday, Jan. 11, the League of Women Voters of Hawaii County and Common Cause Hawaii will host a public panel discussion regarding how “The Big Island’s Political Parties Are Preparing for the 2020 Elections,” with leaders of the state’s political parties.
The event will take place from 10:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Waimea Middle School in the Learning Center Demonstration Lab (Z105, ground floor). Light refreshments will be served.
Senior representatives of the Democratic, Green, Libertarian and Republican parties will discuss their preparations for the upcoming primary and general elections and the recently enacted statewide vote-by-mail process. After opening presentations, the panelists will field questions from moderators and the audience.
The panelists will include Heather Kimball, chair of the Hawaii County Democratic Party, Jeffrey Kalani Coakley, chair of the West Hawaii Republican Party, Budd Dickinson, co-chair of the Green Party of Hawaii, and Tracy Ryan, chair of the Libertarian Party.
The forum will be co-moderated by Sandy Ma, executive director of Common Cause Hawaii, and Donna Oba, vice president of the League of Women Voters of Hawaii.
