LBI's Chowderfest Adapts To Coronavirus, Becomes Chowder Month
Customers will have a full month to enjoy chowder at their own pace and avoid overcrowding.
LONG BEACH ISLAND, NJ — The coronavirus pandemic won't clam up everyone who's been anticipating Long Beach Island's annual celebration of chowder. Chowderfest has adapted, becoming Chowder Month.
Customers will have from Sept. 5 through Oct. 4 to enjoy local chowder offerings at their own pace. The event has been spaced out to prevent overcrowding. Plus customers will be able to submit their contest votes when they're sure they've tasted a winner.

Each voter can register for free and will receive the Chowderfest virtual information packet. Chowderfest will feature interactive content and an announcement Oct. 4 of the overall champion.
