KENTUCKY

Archdiocese of Louisville: Louisville's Catholic schools will be closed from Monday, March 16 through Friday, April 3.

Anchorage School District will be closed through March 30. 

Bellarmine University is halting in-person classes and all activities from Thursday through March 18, when online courses will start. The university expects students will return to classroom instruction on April 1, although a school statement warned that could change “based on the latest health guidance.”

Berea College is canceling in-person instruction for the spring semester and is asking students to move out of residence halls, but students can stay on campus if they cannot go home now or if they have no safe home to go to. 

Boone County Schools: From March 16 to April 20, instruction will be delivered at home. If the state of emergency is lifted before April 20, the district may resume classes.

Boyle County Schools are closed March 16 to April 10.

Bullitt County Public Schools is suspending all face-to-face classes and activities beginning Monday, March 16, 2020, through Friday, March 27, 2020. This includes all extra-curricular activities as well as the YMCA program. Details can be found online. 

Campbellsville University is suspending face-to-face instruction beginning March 16 and will move classes to online delivery that day until further notice. Residential students can continue their studies from home or in the residence halls.

Christian Academy School System: will be closed from Monday, March 16, through April 5 (which includes the week of spring break). School will resume on April 6.

Danville Independent Schools: Starting Friday, March 13, school will not be in session, and non-traditional instruction will begin Monday and last through April 13.

Eastern Kentucky University: Beginning March 23, after spring break, all classes will be delivered remotely until at least April 3. Residence halls will temporarily close, and students should not return to campus immediately following spring break.

Elizabethtown Independent Schools: Starting March 16, schools will be closed through spring break, which ends April 3. Non-traditional instruction will take place during the two-week closure.

Fort Knox Community Schools are closed to students through April 5; Online learning starts March 19, 2020. Students should not report back to school until Monday, April 6. Staff will report at the usual time to begin online training. All school extracurricular activities are canceled/postponed. On Thursday, March 19 students can expect to begin receiving assignments to complete online, Monday, March 30 to Friday, April 3 spring break takes place. No student or staff attendance.

Gallatin County Schools: Closed through April 10.

Hardin County Schools: The district will be closed from March 16 through April 3, the end of the district's spring break. "We will make an announcement Friday about how our non-traditional instructional program will work," a district spokesperson said. 

Henry County Public Schools (Kentucky) Starting March 16, schools will be closed through spring break, which ends April 10. Non-traditional instruction will take place during the three-week school closure.

Indiana University postpones all spring commencement ceremonies on all campuses scheduled for May. 

Jefferson Community and Technical College: On spring break from March 16 to 20 and will move all instruction online after spring break. All classes will be provided by virtual instruction, and on-campus activities will be limited. In the critically important interest of public health, students should not return to campus until notified to do so. Student services will be available by phone and email. Bluegrass Community and Technical College will move to online classes March 22 to April 4, and Gateway Community and Technical College will move to online classes within a few days. If Gov. Andy Beshear shuts down public schools, the remaining 14 colleges will immediately move to online instruction.

J-Town Preschool School, Inc., will be closed beginning on Monday, March 23. 

Jefferson County Public Schools: will be closed from Monday, March 16 through Friday, April 3. The last day of school will be June 11, unless state legislators decide to forgive lost instructional days.

Kentucky Community and Technical College system moves to online instruction starting March 18 through March 27. All lab classes are postponed until then. 

Kentucky Country Day School: Face-to-face instruction will be suspended beginning Monday, March 16, through April 5, which is the end of spring break. Classes will resume on campus Monday, April 6.

Kentucky State University: In-person classes suspended until April 13. Classes canceled through March 22. Classes resume March 23 with remote delivery of instruction. 

Larue County Schools: will not be in session March 16 to 27 but will provide non-traditional instruction through electronic means and paper packets. Classes will resume March 30.

Lincoln County Schools: closed from March 13 to April 10.

Louisville Collegiate School: The campus will be closed and all activities and athletics canceled at least through spring break, which ends Monday, April 6. 

Louisville Seminary is closing its campus through April 6. The remainder of the spring term classes will be conducted online for faculty and students. 

Northern Kentucky University is extending spring break through March 21 and will shift to online instruction starting March 23.

Oldham County Schools: Schools will be closed until April 6. 

Portland Christian School will be closed beginning Monday, March 16 - April 3, School activities will resume on Monday, April 6.

Simmons College: Face-to-face classes are temporarily suspended from March 16 to March 20. The temporary suspension will give the college time to transition to alternative course delivery, which may vary from teacher to teacher.

Southern Baptist Theological Seminary: No on-campus classes on March 12 or March 13. Starting March 16, all course instruction for the rest of the spring semester will be delivered online.

Spalding University: On spring break from March 14-22. Effective Monday, March 16, 2020, Spalding University will move all face-to-face classes online.

Spencer County Schools - Closed March 16 through March 26, 2020. 

Saint Xavier High School will be closed Monday, March 16, 2020 through Friday, April 3, 2020. All Catholic school activities are also canceled during this time. Saint Xavier will conduct remote instruction from Tuesday, March 17 through Friday, March 27, 2020. Spring Break will be as scheduled Monday, March 30 through Friday, April 3, 2020. Students have received detailed instructions on the Non-Traditional School Day.

Sullivan University: Will delay start of spring term to Monday, April 6, 2020 and cancel spring graduation on Saturday, April 18. Those who would have graduated are invited to walk in the fall commencement on Saturday, October 17, 2020.  Online courses will follow the normal final protocol.

University of Kentucky will conduct classes as normal the remainder of this week before the university's spring break the week of March 16. Classes will be held online or through "other alternatives" from March 23 through April 3. All university-sponsored, international travel is suspended "indefinitely."

University of Louisville will extend spring break through March 17 and conduct classes only remotely from March 18 through April 5. U of L also is suspending international travel and “non-essential” travel in the U.S. While on-campus events will continue, they’ll be reviewed. Effective Saturday, March 14, all events hosted by U of L or at a U of L facility will be postponed or cancelled through April 5, according to a tweet from the university

Western Kentucky University is extending spring break through March 22. Starting March 23, classes and coursework at will be held electronically at least through April 5.

INDIANA

Indiana schools are closed to May 1, per Governor Holcomb's announcement on March 19. Elearning and other contingencies will vary by school district. See each district's website or social media pages for latest details.

Below are some of the earlier plans for Indiana schools. The eLearning dates may still be valid. Again, see each district's website or social media for latest details.

Brownstown Schools - Students will learn from home via eLearning March 16 to 20, 2020. Spring break is scheduled March 23-27. Students will resume eLearning March 30 to April 3. The current plan is for students to return to school on Monday, April 6. All extracurricular activities are cancelled through April 6.

Christian Academy School System: is on spring break until March 16. Will be closed through April 5. School will resume on April 6.

Clarksville Community Schools will transition to eLearning through March 20. Spring break will continue March 23 through March 27 as planned.

East Washington School Corp. in Pekin will be closed March 16 through April 10, 2020. All school activities including child care, preschool, sports and health services are canceled. Students will participate in eLearning March 16-20. Spring break is March 23-27. Elearning resumes March 30 through April 10. 

Greater Clark County Schools will be on an eLearning schedule from Monday through Friday before closing for spring break March 23-27. The district will then be closed until April 6, utilizing five of the 20 waiver days offered by the state in light of the COVID-19 outbreak.

Indiana University will hold classes virtually for the remainder of the spring semester. The majority of students will have to move off campuses by March 20. This extends the university's spring break until March 29. Virtual classes are expected to resume March 30. Discussions about commencement are underway.

IU Southeast is suspending all athletic events through March 31, 2020. Further direction will be provided as soon as it is available.

Ivy Tech will close all Ivy Tech Community College buildings, at 5 p.m. local time on Friday, March 20. Continue to check http://ivytech.edu/covid-19 for updates and details on online learning, etc. All international travel and out of state-travel is suspended. Trips that were already approved have been canceled.

New Albany Floyd County Schools advised parents that the district will close on Monday, a day earlier than its scheduled spring break, which runs from Tuesday until March 27, 2020. The district says classes are scheduled to resume March 30, 2020. They urge anyone who is sick not to come to school.

North Harrison County Schools are closed March 16 to 30, 2020 and all practices and events are cancelled. The schools will distribute free food for all students on Monday, March 16 and Thursday, March 19 from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at Morgan Elementary. A make up day will be scheduled for Friday, April 10, 2020.

Purdue University will be on spring break from March 16-21, and is instructing faculty and staff to move their courses online before March 23. University officials said the campus should be ready to keep classes online "as long as in-person instruction seems inadvisable (potentially through the end of the semester)."

Scott County District 1 will transition to eLearning Days March 16-20. Students will also add an additional week of Spring Break with it running March 23 - April 3. Students return to school April 6.

Scott County District 2 will be on e-Learning/Alternative Learning Methods for the week of March 16-March 20. Students are on Spring Break the weeks of March 23-27 and March 30- April 3. All extra-curricular and co-curricular activities, practices, rehearsals, events, etc...are cancelled until further notice. School will resume on Monday, April 6, 2020.

Seymour Community Schools - Students are on spring break the week of March 16. School is closed and all activities cancelled March 23 through April 3, 2020. 

West Washington will be closed until March 30. Spring break is taking place March 23 through March 27.
