Montville Parents Arrested, Charged In Infant Injury Case

MONTVILLE, CT — Two Montville parents have been arrested on accusations that they injured their 3-month-old baby, according to police. Joshua Morales, 26, was charged with second-degree assault, cruelty to persons, risk of injury to a minor, and first-degree reckless endangerment. He was held on $50,000 bond.

Dianna Loomis, 20, was charged with cruelty to persons and risk of injury to a minor. She was held on $30,000 bond.

Both are scheduled to appear in Norwich Superior Court on Tuesday.

The Montville Police Detective Division and the state Department of Children and Families began an investigation into injuries sustained by an infant. During a doctor's examination, it was found the infant had healing fractures on the ribs and femur.

During the investigation, police said it was determined that the infant's parents caused these injuries and failed to provide proper medical care.
