Walt Disney World announces updates to Epcot, including new pavilion, 'experience center'

Walt Disney World is planning a major makeover for their Epcot theme park.

New "enhancements" were announced in a press release Thursday, which outlined plans for "a new play pavilion, a reimagined main entrance and an Experience Center showcasing the park’s future."

The play pavilion, which will be located under the park's Wonder of Life dome, promises an interactive city filled with games and hands-on activities.

The park's main entrance will be updated with new pathways, green spaces and a re-designed fountain.

The Experience Center, which will be located in the Odyssey Events Pavilion, will give guests a chance to visualize the upcoming plans for the park with interactive exhibits.

These plans are in addition to other projects in the works across Walt Disney World, including the new "Star Wars" attraction and more.
