Gaddis is accused in the death of Sabrina Lowery of Belton.

Lowery, who was 37 weeks pregnant, was shot Feb. 13 as three men attempted to rob her home on Byron Circle, investigators said.

Lowery fatally shot one of the men, Foster said.

Tamell Nash, 33, died at the home, according to the Anderson County Coroner's Office.

Lowery died in surgery at AnMed Health Medical Center shortly after she was shot.

Another of the men investigators said was connected to Lowery's death, Russell Demetrius Leshon Calhoun, was a fugitive for six months but died Aug. 1 in Galesburg, Illinois, about 160 miles southwest of Chicago, according to investigators.

According to a Facebook post from the Galesburg Police Department, officers there responded to a domestic disturbance at a home in the 1400 block of Day Street and saw a man inside the home with a gun. The man exited the back of the home and was confronted by officers, according to the police department.

"The officers ordered the subject to stop and show his hands. Instead, he produced a firearm and shot himself," the police department said in a Facebook post. "Officers immediately called for an ambulance and began providing emergency medical treatment. Unfortunately, the male subject was pronounced dead at the scene. There were no other injuries reported."

Marquis Lamanz Bailey was previously arrested in the case and is charged with being an accessory before a felony.

According to arrest warrants against Gaddis, he confessed his involvement in Lowery's death to the family of a "deceased co-defendant." That was also corroborated by phone records, according to arrest warrants.

Gaddis is jailed awaiting a bond hearing.
