Coronavirus In Ohio: New Cases, Deaths Down

COLUMBUS, OH — Ohio confirmed 361 cases of the new coronavirus in the past 24 hours, the Ohio Department of Health announced Monday. At least 27 people died from complications caused by COVID-19 in the past 24 hours.

State officials continue to monitor trends in COVID-19 cases and hospitalizations as businesses continue to reopen. This week, several entertainment venues will be allowed to reopen, including museums and zoos.

Gov. Mike DeWine has said he studies trends over three-week periods. On Monday, all of Ohio's major COVID-19 metrics were down versus their three-week daily average.

  • New cases: 361

  • New deaths: 27

  • New hospitalizations: 53

  • New intensive care admissions: 11
