What should you do if you're a victim of identity theft?

It was a data breach so massive, every American should assume their information has been compromised. The credit reporting company Equifax says it was hacked last summer, exposing millions of Americans, including more than 240,000 Vermonters. The hackers might have stolen Social Security numbers, birthdates, addresses, driver's licenses and credit card info.

The Equifax breach is shocking in its scope but the truth is data breaches are pretty common.
