After isolating in Norfolk with her family, the Duchess has just completed her first partially-indoor charity visit, after months of video-only engagements and the occasional outdoor meeting. The Duchess participated in a socially-distanced visit to Sheffield-based charity Baby Basics, a service that provides essential needs to the nation's most vulnerable families. Kate rallied for 19 British retailers to donate over 10,000 supplies to the baby bank.
The Duchess was as polished as ever at her visit, even while wearing safety gloves and a face mask for protection. Kate wore a crisp, white midi dress, a floral face covering, a gold pendant necklace, and snakeskin-patterned pointed-toe courts. She completed the look with her signature glamorous blowout, and elegant everyday makeup. Let's take a look:
Her £15 floral cotton mask is from Amaia, and 30% of mask proceeds will go to support NHS Charities Together. Her beautiful white midi dress, however, is slightly less of a bargain. Ringing in at £1,850 from brand Suzannah London, the dress was previously spotted on Kate during a 2019 trip to Wimbledon.
The dress is inspired by a vintage 1940s archive piece, and the puff sleeves and black button details look fresh and professional. The flattering darts and belted waist create an extra-flattering shape, too. The brand describes their style as being "vintage couture inspiration with a modern clean aesthetic," and they are a go-to for royals attending weddings, Ascot races, and formal events.
Suzanah London explains that they source luxury, natural fabrics for their designs, and the pieces are designed to be treasured heirlooms that get passed down through generations.
Kate's soft grey heels are from Tabitha Simmons, and she finished the look with an understated pendant necklace. At her visit, Kate helped to unpack boxes of supplies, chatted with other volunteers, and spoke with families about the challenges they have been facing during COVID-19.
