The Essex Region Conservation Authority warns that flooding looding is occurring along the Lake Erie shoreline west of Point Pelee National Park specifically along Point Pelee Drive (County Road 33).

The flooding is due to strong sustained winds out of the southwest at speeds in excess of 30 km/hr over open water. These winds are expected to remain elevated until late Sunday night at which point they are expected to reduce in speed and shift to a more westerly direction.

Areas that could be impacted by these same conditions include the Lake Erie shoreline west of Point Pelee National Park and the western shoreline of Pelee Island.
