CANTON, Ohio - Tickets are on sale for the second annual Black College Football Hall of Fame Classic over Labor Day weekend.

Central State University will play Howard University on Sunday, Sept. 6. Kickoff is 5 p.m. at Tom Benson Hall of Fame Stadium, adjacent to the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

The game features HBCUs - Historically Black Colleges and Universities - from different conferences. Central State, from Wilberforce, Ohio, is from the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference; Howard, from the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference, is located in Washington, D.C.

General-admission tickets are $40. Reserved seating is $60. Club seats - which include upscale food and beverage - are $125.

The game - which the NFL Network will carry nationally - is just one part of a weekend full of entertainment, concerts and networking events.

A Hall of Fame tailgate party precedes the game. The schools’ bands will perform at halftime, and a post-game concert in the stadium is scheduled, with an act to be announced at a later date. Last year, Morris Day and the Time played. A golf outing at Clearview Golf Club is set to include players enshrined in the Pro Football Hall of Fame and Black College Football Hall of Fame, as well as celebrities. A Battle of the Bands and Dance competition also is held.

This year, a 'faith, family and football' concert has been added. It will feature Grammy-nominated artist Marvin Sapp and Grammy-nominated gospel singer-songwriter Jekalyn Carr at Canton Memorial Civic Center.

Alabama A&M beat Morehouse College, 35-30, in the inaugural game last year.
