Multiple boats and part of a dock caught fire Monday evening at Isleton’s Oxbow Marina. No injuries to civilians or firefighters were reported.

A large two-alarm fire destroyed at least three boats and damaged part of the dock at Isleton’s Oxbow Marina, fire officials said Tuesday.

Crews were alerted to the fire at about 7 p.m. Monday in Isleton, about 28 miles west of Stockton in the San Joaquin Delta, the River Delta Fire District said in a social media post.

While en route, River Delta crews spotted a large black column of smoke and immediately requested additional resources from several nearby fire and ambulance agencies.

A quick attack on the blaze stopped it from advancing further into the marina area and boats

“Thanks to an aggressive fire attack by firefighters from multiple agencies, most of the boats and a large portion of the dock were saved,” the Isleton Fire Department reported.
