BROWNSTOWN TOWNSHIP – The Brownstown Business Expo and Taste Tour will take place May 25 at the Brownstown Event Center, 23345 King Rd.

The expo will run from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. with the Taste Tour from noon to 2.

All are welcome. Admission is free.

“This will be the 10th Business Expo. There will be over 30 local businesses with giveaways, raffles and valuable information,” Sue Trussell, director of the Brownstown Downtown Development Authority, said.

The event was canceled in 2020 and ’21 because of the pandemic.

Some of the local businesses attending are: Henry Ford Health Center (offering health screenings), Beltone Hearing Center, Comerica Bank, Cycle Trip Studios, Advantage One Credit Union, Community Focus Credit Union, Downriver Jewelry Store, Katie Maldonado Insurance Agency, Two Men and a Truck, Greater Detroit Auto Auction, Woodhaven Brownstown Rotary, Brownstown Police and Fire Departments, Public Service Credit Union, Molnar Funeral Home, Rev’d Up Fun and the Law Office of John O. Knappmann.

The Taste Tour will offer food samples from local eateries.

“We found at the past Expos that the eateries would be so popular that they would run out of food so we decided to limit their time,” Trussell said.

Some of the eateries taking part are Big Bear Lodge, Piper’s Restaurant, Fiorelli’s Restaurant Collection, Black Rock Bar& Grill, Chicken Shack of Brownstown, The Grecian Center, Texas Roadhouse, Biggby Coffee, A Serendipity Cakery and The Prestige Banquet Hall

“This is always a well-attended event, and we are looking forward to everyone coming out to the Event Center,” Trussell said. “The DDA is so grateful that all our local businesses and restaurants are taking the time out to be part of this event,” Trussell said. “The generosity of our local business community is incredible.  We are really lucky here in Brownstown to have such loyal businesses.”
