Monroe, GA – Walton County and its municipalities, in conjunction with the Atlanta Regional Commission, are preparing a Comprehensive Transportation Plan. The purpose of the study is to identify current transportation needs and develop short-term and long-term projects to strengthen the transportation network.

A public information open house is planned for September 16, 2021, from 5 to 7 pm at the Historic Courthouse, located at 111 South Broad Street in Monroe, GA.  The purpose of this open house is to present a list of projects recommended for inclusion in the CTP and provide the public with an opportunity to comment on the projects.

The format of the meeting is an open house.  There will be no formal presentation. Members of the public are invited to drop by at any time between 5 and 7 pm to review study information, speak one on one with project staff, and to submit comments.
