Twenty-year-old Christian Nodal lands his seventh No. 1 on the Regional Mexican Airplay chart (dated Aug. 24) as “De Los Besos Que Te Di” climbs 3-1. The tune advances with 8.7 million in audience impressions (up 8%) in the week ending Aug. 18, according to Nielsen Music.

Of Nodal’s seven No. 1s, the ranchera “De Los Besos” rose to the top in just its eighth week — his fastest climb to the top. Previously, his quickest ascent came with a nine-week run to the top with “Te Falle” (Aug. 11, 2018).

“De Los Besos Que Te Di” — the third cut off the singer’s second studio album, Ahora, which debuted atop the Regional Mexican Albums chart (dated May 25) — follows the first two singles, which also landed atop the chart: “No Te Contaron Mal” (a five-week reign starting Dec. 22, 2018) and “Nada Nuevo” (leading for four weeks beginning with the May 4-dated list).

Beyond its Regional Mexican Airplay coronation, “De Los Besos” steps closer to the Latin Airplay’s top 10, jumping 14-11.

With the new chart-topper, Nodal ties with Vicente Férnadez as the solo act with the second-most leaders on the Regional Mexican Airplay tally (both with seven). They trail only Gerardo Ortiz, who continues to lead the list (with 9).
