San Benito County to handout gift cards, cash to people who get vaccinated
San Benito County (SBC) will begin handing out gift cards to people who receive their first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine and cash to those who become fully vaccinated.
On Tuesday, the County Board of Supervisors approved the vaccine incentive program for SBC residents and those who are employed by the county of San Benito.
To qualify for the incentives residents must have received their first dose of the vaccine on or after Aug. 10. For more information, click here.
The Vaccine Gift Card Incentive Program will provide qualified individuals a $25 gift card after they receive their first dose in the vaccination series (one dose Johnson & Johnson, also known as Janssen, or two-dose Moderna/Pfizer).
Once people become fully vaccinated they can get $200 from the county. For more information, click here.
Beginning Aug. 27, 2021, gift cards will be available, while supplies last, at San Benito County Public Health Services at 351 Tres Pinos Rd. Suite A-202, Hollister, CA 95023. Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Beginning August 30, 2021, cash vouchers will be available at San Benito County Health and Human Services Agency at 1111 San Felipe Rd. Suite 108, Hollister, CA 95023, Monday through Friday from 10 am to 5 pm.
Eligible Individuals must bring proof of identity, vaccination status and San Benito County residency or county employment.
