Smart Start course scheduled for Jan. 21
The California Highway Patrol will offer its Smart Start course aimed a helping newly licensed or soon-to-be-licensed drivers. The course is set for 6-8 p.m. Jan. 21 at the Aptos Branch Library, 7695 Soquel Drive.
During the course, CHP officers will speak directly to attendees and discuss such topics at collision avoidance techniques, excessive speed, DUI and distracted driving. The Smart Start course makes teens and parents the responsibility they face.
