Name Of Burned Body Victim In Car Released By Investigators

The St. Petersburg Police Department said it discovered the name of a victim whose body was found in the trunk of a burned car.

ST. PETERSBURG, FL — The body found burned in a car on Monday at the Skyway Trail has been identified as 55-year-old Jesus Manuel Tavarez-Soto, said the St. Petersburg Police Department.

The victim was identified through dental records, said investigators.

The burned vehicle was a 2014 black Nissan Sentra and registered to the victim, according to detectives.

St. Petersburg Police Department and the Gulfport Police Department is investigating the case as a joint investigation.
