Minnesota’s COVID-19 death toll is up to 7,536 with five deaths reported Saturday, according to the Minnesota Department of Health.
Another 132 infections were reported, taking the total to 604,406.
The actual number of infections likely is much higher since the data only represent those who have been tested, state officials said.
The total number tested as of Saturday was 4,377,184.
Saturday’s fatalities ranged in age from a person who is between 50 and 54, and another person who is between 90 and 94.
One of the five were from a long-term care or assisted-living facility. Of the state’s 7,536 deaths, 4,461 were from such facilities.
HOW ARE PATIENTS DOING?
Of those infected with the virus as of Saturday, 595,773 had recovered to the point where they no longer need to be isolated.
A total of 32,508 have been hospitalized in Minnesota, with 6,598 of those admitted into an intensive care unit.
WHO IS GETTING SICK?

• The age group with the most infections remains 20-24-year-olds, with 58,358 cases.
• The age group with the most deaths are 85-89-year-olds with 1,356 deaths, closely followed by 80-84-year-olds with 1,208 deaths, and 90-94-year-olds with 1,199 deaths.
