While Nashville's dining scene keeps changing, here's your summer guide to what's new in Music City

After a year that saw many local favorites close for good (we'll miss you Joey's House of Pizza,) this summer has plenty of new restaurants to check out.

From a car wash turned six-bay micro food hall that also serves as a business incubator to what's new in the downtown Nashville dining scene, here's a look at what's new this summer in Music City.

A look inside The Wash, East Nashville's mini food hall

A local entrepreneur and native son has turned a slice of underutilized East Nashville land into a prime spot for dinner and drinks. Hamilton Development, led by Tyler Cauble, has launched The Wash, a former car wash turned restaurant hot spot giving emerging restauranteurs a home. Check out The Wash.

5 Points Diner brings twist on the classic American bar

The former home of Tenn Sixteen finally has a new tenant, 5 Points Diner and Bar. Owner Rick Ryan says 5 Points Diner will embody an elevated take on the classic American sports bar and restaurant, citing the Duplex Diner in Washington, D.C., as one of its sources of inspiration, “We’re trying to put our own spin on the word ‘diner’. It’s not the typical diner, but we’ll be diner-inspired.” Read more.

Sylvan Park health-focused eatery Radish opens in Franklin

Health-focused, fast-casual restaurant concept Radish opened its second location in Franklin on Tuesday, May 24.

The new spot will be located at 4041 Aspen Grove Drive, Suite 106. It will be a part of the Cool Springs-based commercial development near I-65, McEwen Northside, which hosts local businesses in its 45-acre mixed-use space.

Its first location in Nashville’s Sylvan Park neighborhood gained immediate success once it began welcoming guests in August 2020. Here's what to know.

Downtown Nashville Restaurant changes

Jane’s Hideaway, a classic Southern-style restaurant, live music venue and rooftop bar located in the heart of Printer’s Alley, will be relocating to East Nashville this summer.

Coyote Ugly Saloon, which has been closed since the 2020 Christmas Day bombing, has reopened on Second Avenue. The bombing left significant damage at the bar's building. Here's what's new.

Seattle-based coffee shop and bakery Anchorhead Coffee began welcoming in guests into its newest 800-square-foot downtown Nashville café in April. The sleek space, which embraces an Instagrammable, dark aesthetic, is the perfect spot for those who crave more adventurous refreshments such as hazel Ube lattes, cold brew chocolate milk or pistachio milk matcha.

After ongoing renovations, Drusie & Darr, a new restaurant from renowned chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten, opened last year in The Hermitage Hotel's former Capitol Grille space. The all-new restaurant features an updated interior and a menu from Vongerichten, who has more than 30 restaurants throughout from Paris to New York to Tokyo. Read our review.

Additionally, The Pink Hermit opened it's doors in March inside The Hermitage Hotel, offering pastries in the morning, casual dining and take-away options during the day and small plates and drinks at night.

Guy Fieri is making himself at home in Music City, after opening Chicken Guy! in downtown, the Food Network personality keeps returning to the area.

Besides filming his show "Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives," Fieri hopes to expand his food empire here.

New pizza place in Wedgewood-Houston

Wedgewood-Houston’s latest addition to its growing food scene is the all-day neighborhood bar and restaurant Dicey’s Pizza & Tavern. Situated beside Soho House, the walk-in only establishment serves tavern-style pizza including specialty, classic and build your own choices.
