Fall on Me Lyrics
I've been sitting at a bus stop waiting on a train
In the city of angels, feeling sick to my navel
With my sweaty palms waiting on a rain
But that water never came
I've been waiting in vain
Oh, Lord, have mercy
The drop done got me thirsty
Tongue dried, tongue-tied, words so sweet, dessert me
I pray the gift I keep don't curse me, oh
[Chorus]
Fall on me
I don't want to see the sun shinin' again, nah
Fall on me
No, I'm not afraid to walk in the rain, nah
Fall on me
I don't want to see the sunshine, no
Fall on me
No, I'm not afraid to walk in the rain
[Verse 2]
Yeah, look
My uncle body in the ground that was stressful
I threw that on these niggas like I was resentful
Backstrokin' in my tears with no swimsuit
Showers are blessings falling down, so torrential
More then enough to fill up two oceans
I'll have a Henny on the double, couple cubes frozen
I like my shoes woven, leather with the suede
Material breathable so the odor can escape, yay
Part the waves, part the waves
Swam with the sharks, ran with the wolves
Hands to the blue, prayers cover you
I'm on to you 'til I'm in a tomb
Or 'til the cows come home and the rose doesn't bloom
Give me the flame and let me light it up
Then let it rain, my bae watchin' me
No, I don't need a lifeguard
I don't want to wait in vain
Have me singing in the rain
Fall on me
I don't want to see the sun shinin' again, nah
Fall on me
No, I'm not afraid to walk in the rain, nah
Fall on me
I don't want to see the sunshine
Fall on me
No, I'm not afraid to walk in the rain
[Bridge]
Let it all come down
I'm waiting here for ya
Let it all come down
I'm waiting
Let it all come down
I'm breaking bread for ya
Let it all come down
I'm breaking-
[Chorus]
Fall on me
I don't want to see the sun shinin' again, nah
Fall on me
No, I'm not afraid to walk in the rain, nah
Fall on me
I don't want to see the sunshine
Fall on me
No, I'm not afraid to walk in the rain, ooh
Fall on me
(Let it all come down)
I don't want to see the sun shinin' again, ohh
(I'm waiting here for ya)
Fall on me
(Let it all come down)
No, I'm not afraid to walk in the rain, I'm not, I'm not
(I'm waiting)
Fall on me
(Let it all come down)
I don't want to see the sunshine
(I'm breaking bread for ya)
Fall on me
(Let it all come down)
No, I'm not afraid of walk in the rain
(I'm breaking-)

At Ones to Watch, Louis Futon had this to say about featured artist BXRBER:
BXRBER features twice on Way Back When–alongside Bellah on “All My Life” and unaccompanied on the gospel-reminiscent closing track “Fall on Me.” Did those two tracks come together in similar ways?
“Fall On Me” was the first track we made together, then later we worked on a beat flip I made of J. Cole’s “Kevin’s Heart”. In that same session, we recorded “All My Life,” which is also quoted in the song “Venice,” earlier in the project. BXRBER is someone who I really believe in and want to continue to work with, not only for my stuff but for his artist project. He has such a unique twist on gospel music and his writing is some of the most unique writing I’ve ever heard. I can’t say enough good things about him.
