Actress Mayim Bialik has previously opened up to actor Justin Long about the negative comments that she's received about her appearance.

Although "The Big Bang Theory" alum brought actor Justin Long on her "Mayim Bialik's Breakdown" last month, Justin invited her onto his own Spotify podcast, Life is Short.

During the interview, Mayim, now 46, admitted that she "probably" would have gotten plastic surgery if social media was around when she was a teen.

Mayim Bialik was only a teenager when she became a child star on the hit series "Blossom." In the interview, transcribed by Yahoo, the "Jeopardy!" co-host admits that she probably would have asked for plastic surgery if social media was around during her rise to fame.

Mayim started out by recalling all of the times she was left out of social events in high school. “I’m so glad there wasn’t social media because I already knew all the things I wasn’t invited to, so imagine looking at pictures of it,” she said, adding that she wanted to “disappear” because she “felt very unworthy of attention or praise.”

“I probably would have asked for plastic surgery,” she confessed. “A lot of girls would get a nose job at 16 in a lot of circles. I definitely wished I had a different face, which I think is also, a lot of kids go through that, boys and girls. I do think, if social media had existed, I don’t know if that pressure would not have gotten to me in a way where I would have said, ‘I can do it different. Look at this one who did it different. Look at that one.’”

Mayim walked back her comments rather quickly and then said that she did wish that social media was around when she was in high school so she could explore different sides of "body consciousness." She told Justin, "I think would have gotten into more, I don’t want to say materialistic things, but a lot more body consciousness.”

The "Beaches" actress then lamented how much she was teased in high school due to her physical appearance, despite being a famous actress.

“I mean, it was hard being flat-chested until I was 17, 16, but, like, the depths to which I would have been miserable about it, I think would have been a lot," she said, adding, "It was a big deal to be teased for that."

Believe it or not, Mayim actually went to the same Los Angeles public high school as "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" alum Alyson Hannigan" and "Westword" star James Marsden. However, Mayim lamented that she "wasn't popular" when she was in high school.

“I was the kind of kid who really didn’t want to talk about [my fame],” she said. “I wanted to pretend it didn’t exist, but it’s hard to do when a lot of kids are watching you on television. So [at school] it was a lot of like, ‘Oh you think you’re so hot? You got the wrong answer in class.’ And then it’s like, OK I will never raise my hand again.”

“Boys didn’t like me in the first place because I was strange and I didn’t have breasts,” she continued. “Girls were not really a fan of me either because I was pulling attention. I had a lot of rough girl experiences in junior high of like, well, ‘We don’t want people to think we’re hanging out with you because you’re famous so we’re just not gonna hang out with you.’”

When "Blossom" first came out, Mayim Bialik started reading the reviews that entertainment journalists put out about her show. She said one review, which she called "the last review I read," was one when "Blossom" first came out.

“I will never forgot it,” she recalled. "He said some really, really unkind things about my face. I was 14 and he said it looked like a smattering of features that don’t fit together, put on a face that looked like a shield. I thought, what a strange [thing to say]. But, at the time, I was devastated.”

Fortunately, it seems that her facial features haven't hurt her acting career, as she rose to fame on the sitcom "The Big Bang Theory" and is now starring in her own sitcom, "Call Me Kat." In addition, she was just named "Jeopardy!" co-host for season 39 alongside Ken Jennings. If that weren't enough, she will also host the "Celebrity Jeopardy!" spin-off show, which premieres in September.
