Dallas reveals details of June’s Total Home & Gift Market

Dallas Market Center announced preliminary details for the summer edition of  the June 23-29 Total Home & Gift Market. The first market of the summer will present dozens of new showrooms across all major product categories and an expanded marketplace of Temps.

From all 50 states, the number of buyers applying to visit Dallas Market Center continues to rise. New buyer applications and registration is up more than 50% over previous years, with the strongest gains coming from businesses located outside of the market center’s immediate geographic region. This surge in new customers is driven by one main factor: retailers are seeking a single destination to accomplish their complete in-person buying needs.

Dozens of new and expanding showrooms will cut the ribbon and welcome customers during the show. Among more than 1,000 permanent showrooms, from gift and home, housewares and gourmet, holiday and floral to lighting and fashion, the marketplace is making final arrangements for new brands to join and long-time partners to expand.

The Temps at Total Home & Gift Market will present hundreds of new and returning exhibitors. A full list of highlights will be shared in the coming weeks. Buyers will explore a full marketplace of Temps with four distinct neighborhoods to discover new products and brands.

For this year only, Dallas Market Center and ART, the creative home furnishings network, have replaced the annual ARTS Awards with The HEARTS Awards, an event celebrating and honoring those who showed outstanding leadership during the pandemic. Uniting multiple industries for the first time, the invitation-only event on June 25 hosted by Carson Kressley and Thom Filicia will pay homage to 13 “hearts and heroes” of 2020-2021.

Supporting the comfort, health and safety of all attendees, the market center continues measures that include mandatory face covering and temperature screening for every person entering the marketplace every day. Other efforts include enhanced cleaning with hospital grade products, hundreds of hand sanitizing stations, limited food service, no gatherings, and signage for social distancing. Along with these new steps, there are safety measures that are part of the design of the marketplace: open parking, large entryways, quick registration in multiple areas, wide hallways, multiple escalators to each floor, and showrooms with controlled access to allow for the appropriate distance between customers.

Pre-registration, which is the exclusive method to receive the FastPass for contactless entry, is now available at dallasmarketcenter.com.
