Tubac outdoor art exhibit aims to attract more visitors to historic destination

TUBAC, Ariz. - A new public, outdoor art exhibit in Tubac is aiming to attract more visitors to the historic destination.

The art display consists of over 40 painted javelina sculptures that are currently scattered throughout Tubac.

Within the next week organizers and volunteers with the Tubac Center of the Arts will be taking most of the javelina sculptures to different locations throughout southern Arizona.

Six of the javelina sculptures will be going to the Tucson International Airport, others will go to the Arizona-Sonoran Desert Museum, Green Valley and other locations.

Below are the locations where you can find the javelina sculptures,

TUCSON

- Tucson International Airport
- Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum
- Mesquite Valley Growers Nursery

GREEN VALLEY

- Continental Shopping Plaza
- Green Valley Recreation - West Center

TUMACACORI

- Santa Cruz Chili and Spice Company
- Tumacacori Mission
- Wisdoms Cafe

The art exhibit will be on display throughout southern Arizona until March 2020.

On April 4, 2020 there will be a live auction in Tubac for the javelina. The money brought in will go toward the Tubac Center of the Arts as well as other local entities in the community.
