The Texas Senate has now confirmed all three of Gov. Greg Abbott's nominations for the Texas Tech Board of Regents.

The governor appointed Mark Griffin, Ginger Kerrick, and Dusty Womble for six-year terms set to expire January 31, 2025. Kerrick was approved last week, and Griffin and Womble were approved Wednesday. Texas Tech University System confirmed the Senate confirmation, and said the new regents will be at the next meeting May 16-17.

“Congratulations to Ms. Kerrick, Mr. Griffin, and Mr. Womble on their appointment to the board,” Chancellor Tedd Mitchell said in a statement when the regents were nominated. “Regents invest their time and energy voluntarily for which we are all grateful. This is a transformative time for the Texas Tech System, and we are thankful to them for their service.

Tech's three new regents replace former regents Rick Francis, Tim Lancaster and John Esparza on the board.
