2012 ? SOPHOMORE SEASON:

Named to the Big Ten All-Tournament Team after he pitched eight scoreless innings and struck out six as a true freshman ? appeared in the third-highest number of games as a Gopher pitcher with 19 ? went 6-2 and held an ERA of 1.52 ? pitched 41.1 innings, had two saves and struck out 35 batters ? started in two games, including one during the Big Ten Tournament ? started his Gopher career on Feb. 20 against Louisville and had two strikeouts and allowed two hits in three innings ? earned his first collegiate win in the 6-4 win over Towson on Feb. 26 ? had his first collegiate start against Sacramento State (3/16) and set a career-high five strikeouts and allowed one earned run in five innings pitched ? named the Co-Big Ten Freshman of the Week following the Sacramento State game ? saw action against Purdue (3/1), Michigan State (4/10) and Northwestern (4/17) to start the conference season ? named the Big Ten Freshman of the Week after the Indiana series (4/23) when he worked four perfect innings in relief and struck out four Hoosier batters to earn Big Ten ? Graduated from Osseo High School ? coached by John Groebner ? named All-State and All-Area in 2010, and was All-Conference in 2008 and 2010 ? named Metro Player of the Year, a Mr. Baseball finalist, Gatorade State Player of the Year finalist and was a Great 8 selection for hockey ? was a pre-draft top 200 player nationally ? was 6-1 with a 0.94 ERA and struck out 73 batters in 51.0 innings in his senior season, and also had seven home runs and 24 RBI.
