2012 ? SOPHOMORE SEASON:
Academic All-Big Ten ? named to the Big Ten Preseason Players to Watch list ? made 18 appearances and four starts and held a 3.27 earned run average ? went 3-5 on the season with one save ? pitched 41.1 innings and suffered a shoulder injury early in the season, limiting his action ? allowed 15 earned runs on the season ? walked 17 batters and struck out 37 in his sophomore campaign ? started the season as a weekend starter before injury ? made 12 appearances in Big Ten play ? made all four starts in the first month of the season ? opened his sophomore campaign when he allowed just two runs to St. John's (2/18) ? pitched a season-high 6.0 innings of work and collected his first win of the season in a 5-3 win over UW-Milwaukee (2/25) ? struck out a season-high five batters and allowed two runs in the 11-3 win over West Virginia (3/3) ? returned to the mound at the start of the Big Ten season against Michigan (3/30) ? struck out three in 1.1 inning of work against Nebraska-Omaha (4/18) ? pitched longest relief when he went 4.0 innings in the 3-2 11-inning loss to Michigan State and struck out four (4/21) ? made two relief appearances against Iowa (4/27 and 4/29) ? picked up the save in a 5-4 win against the Hawkeyes as he sent down the last five batters and struck out the last two ? went 2.1 innings against Nebraska (5/12) and allowed just one hit and struck out three ? made two appearances at Illinois, including the season finale win (5/19).

2011 ? FRESHMAN SEASON:
Named to the Big Ten All-Tournament Team after he pitched eight scoreless innings and struck out six as a true freshman ? appeared in the third-highest number of games as a Gopher pitcher with 19 ? went 6-2 and held an ERA of 1.52 ? pitched 41.1 innings, had two saves and struck out 35 batters ? started in two games, including one during the Big Ten Tournament ? started his Gopher career on Feb. 20 against Louisville and had two strikeouts and allowed two hits in three innings ? earned his first collegiate win in the 6-4 win over Towson on Feb. 26 ? had his first collegiate start against Sacramento State (3/16) and set a career-high five strikeouts and allowed one earned run in five innings pitched ? named the Co-Big Ten Freshman of the Week following the Sacramento State game ? saw action against Purdue (3/1), Michigan State (4/10) and Northwestern (4/17) to start the conference season ? named the Big Ten Freshman of the Week after the Indiana series (4/23) when he worked four perfect innings in relief and struck out four Hoosier batters to earn Big Ten ? Indiana game started 10-straight games of not allowing an earned run ? earned back-to-back wins in the 5-4 win against Iowa (4/30) ? worked in both the Gopher wins over Michigan (5/6) and Michigan State (5/8) ? pitched in both games against Ohio State on May 19 and May 21 ? worked three innings, had four strikeouts and collected his second save of the season against the Buckeyes in the Big Ten Tournament (5/27) ? earned his second start of the year and pitched five innings to lead the Gophers to a 1-0 win over Purdue during the Big Ten Tournament.

HIGH SCHOOL:
Graduated from Osseo High School ? coached by John Groebner ? named All-State and All-Area in 2010, and was All-Conference in 2008 and 2010 ? named Metro Player of the Year, a Mr. Baseball finalist, Gatorade State Player of the Year finalist and was a Great 8 selection for hockey ? was a pre-draft top 200 player nationally ? was 6-1 with a 0.94 ERA and struck out 73 batters in 51.0 innings in his senior season, and also had seven home runs and 24 RBI.
