More Coronavirus Deaths Reported In Southwest PA

PITTSBURGH, PA — There were no new coronavirus deaths in Allegheny County Tuesday, but two additional COVID-19 fatalities occurred in southwestern Pennsylvania. The death toll in Allegheny county during the outbreak remains at 152.

The number of coronavirus cases in the county climbed to 1,952, up from 1,928 on Tuesday and 1,912 on Monday.

Three hundred and forty-five people people have been hospitalized in the county during the outbreak. That's up from 344 on Tuesday and 340 on Monday.

With 591 confirmed cases in Beaver County, 451 in Westmoreland County, 232 in Butler County and 140 in Washington County, that brings the total number of cases in the five-county
southwestern Pennsylvania region to 3,366. That's up from 3,332 on Tuesday and 3,316 on Monday.

According to the state Department of Health, 280 people have died thus far in the five-county region: One hundred and fifty-two in Allegheny County, 74 in Beaver County, 38 in Westmoreland County, 12 in Butler County and six in Washington County.New deaths were reported Tuesday in Beaver and Washington counties.
