Stark County Sheriff’s Office receives traffic safety grant

The Ohio Traffic Safety Office recently awarded $588,109.75 in federal traffic safety funding to the Stark County Sheriff’s Office for the federal fiscal year Oct. 1 through Sept. 30, 2022.
This funding is a combined total of five individual grants awarded to the sheriff’s office, including the Impaired Driver/Speed Enforcement, Drugged Driver Enforcement, the countywide OVI Task Force, the Traffic Safety Resource Prosecutor and Safe Communities programs.
The sheriff’s office and its partners will conduct high-visibility enforcement working overtime hours with the grant funds.
