Teen arrested for possession of firearm, possession of marijuana

Police officers with the Southwest Mississippi Community College and detectives with the Pike County Sheriff's Office conducted a search warrant in Pike County Tuesday.According to the Pike County Sheriff's Department, the search warrant was for a teenager at 6036 Magnolia Progress Road in Magnolia. Police said they recovered a firearm from 18-year-old Bryan “BJ" Cameron’s room. Police said it is believed the firearm was one of the weapons used in a drive-by shooting on SMCC's campus on Sept. 9.Police also found 44 grams of marijuana in Cameron's room.Cameron was arrested and charged for drive-by shooting, conspiracy to commit drive-by shooting, two counts of shooting into a motor vehicle, possession of a weapon on school campus and possession of marijuana with intent to distribute enhanced by possession of a firearm.
