Faculty, staff invited to take survey assessing impact of Purdue's work
Through the Office of Engagement, Purdue is part of a national pilot program focused on assessing the societal impact of work. Purdue has developed a brief faculty-staff questionnaire that will assist the University in developing and strengthening the assessment of impact across the continuum of teaching and learning, research/discovery, and engagement. Results will guide various future aspects of Purdue's scholarship agenda.
The brief questionnaire, created by and conducted with a set of colleagues from across Purdue, seeks to gauge knowledge of and interest in furthering the impact of faculty and staff's work in research. For the purpose of the survey, "research" should be interpreted as scholarship of teaching and learning, scholarship of engagement and scholarship of discovery.
West Lafayette faculty and staff may start the questionnaire by clicking here, or they may copy and paste this URL into their preferred internet browser: https://purdue.ca1.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_3Wey1XFTrOCrFMF. The survey opens today (Jan. 25) and closes on Feb. 8.
The survey should take no longer than five minutes to complete. Survey information will be presented in aggregate, and nothing shared in the questionnaire will be directly attributed to participants.
Information gleaned from this project will be immediately useful to such entities as the offices of the Executive Vice President for Research and Partnerships, Engagement and the Provost as well as to deans and department heads to inform and improve currently existing programs or practices across Purdue.
