More than 20 injured after helicopter gusts collapse tent at Army base

More than 20 people were injured after gusts from a helicopter knocked over a tent at a California military base.

A UH-60 Blackhawk helicopter was landing at Fort Hunter Liggett, in central California, at 9:30 p.m. on Wednesday when it collapsed the tent during a training exercise, the base posted on Facebook.

There were 22 injuries reported, including two people who were flown for treatment in Fresno, Calif., and two taken by ground to nearby Templeton.

Officials said that the majority of the rest of the injuries were minor, and that no one had died as of late Wednesday night local time.

The base said that some families are being contacted about the conditions of their loved ones, but did release any information.
