NEW HYDE PARK, NY — A new restaurant opened recently in New Hyde Park serving up poke bowls, a raw seafood salad dish that has become increasingly popular in the United States over the last couple years.

Poke, pronounced (poh-KAY), means "chunk" in Hawaiian. The dish typically includes cubed pieces of raw tuna marinated with soy sauce and sesame oil and mixed with onion.

At Power Poke, signature bowls include the "tuna lover" and "seafood harvest," which includes salmon, shrimp, scallop and crab meat with jalapeno, cherry tomato, cucumber mixed with sesame oil, yuzu sauce, creamy mayo, masago, puff rice and onion crisps.
