Memphis is More: Two Tennesseans launch Memphis-themed gift box filled with local products
Looking for a Memphis-themed gift? Look no farther.
Two Memphis marketing executives have collaborated to create a mail-order gift box that celebrates the best of Memphis.
Mark McLeod and Pam Routh are promoting Memphis’ diversity and distinctiveness by featuring some of the best local products in a unique “Memphis is More” gift box kit.
All aspects of the colorfully designed kit are locally produced ─ from the items enclosed to the printing and distribution.
“Our goal is to feature the people and places that make Memphis, Memphis; the place that people across the globe know and recognize,” said McLeod. “And we want to have some fun along the way.”
The “Memphis is More” kit features an array of local products:
- Makeda’s Homemade Butter Cookies;
- Salted caramels from Shotwell Candy Company;
- Barbecue-flavored popcorn from Pops Kernel Gourmet Popcorn;
- Hollywood Feed Southern BBQ Dog Biscuits;
- Soap from Cosgrove & Lewis Handmade Luxury Soaps;
- Face masks from MBABAZI House of Style; and
- Hand-painted 901 Rock from local artist Cornell Mahan along with a rock for recipients to paint themselves.
Each kit also includes a customized message to send greetings, a thank you or other client messages.
“It’s an ideal vehicle for companies and organizations that have had to cancel events, meetings or conferences, to share their story and generate some brand awareness while promoting an upcoming alternative online event, or to promote new goals, objectives or achievements,” Routh said.
Routh explained that in addition to the “Memphis is More” kit, both holiday-themed and customized kits are available and the holiday kits will include an “experience” component.
The limited-edition Halloween gift box includes an audio CD and driving tour map of Elmwood Cemetery, in addition to Memphis-based products.
Kits can be shipped nationwide and are available for order at memphisismore.com.
