DEKALB COUNTY, AL (WAFF) - Sheriff's deputies arrested three people after they said the suspects were involved in a drug deal in a cemetery.

A Reserve Deputy noticed two cars parked in the back of Black Oak Cemetery in the Tenbroek area Sunday.

He called Sheriff's Deputies who checked out the unusual activity. Officers approached the suspects and found remnants of a one-pot cook meth lab within 15 feet of the cars.

They also found a gas generator, a syringe filled with a liquid substance and a small plastic bottle containing methamphetamine.

The subjects in the cars were 28-year-old Gregory Clark Jones of Fort Payne, 20-year-old Christopher Daniel Jones of Fyffe, and 19-year-old Tiffany Dawn Crocker of Rainsville.

The Drug Task Force responded and searched both vehicles. In the vehicle driven by Christopher Jones and Crocker, agents found items that had been taken in the burglary of a residence in the Crossville area.

The items included checkbooks, jewelry, clothes, and DVDs.

All three subjects were charged with unlawful manufacturing of controlled substance, unlawful possession of controlled substance and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.

Christopher Jones was also charged with giving false identification to a law enforcement officer.

All three were taken into custody and transported to the DeKalb County Jail where they remain at this time, awaiting setting of bond.

Gregory Jones was out on bond on a previous drug possession charge, which bond is expected to be revoked later today.

"This is a perfect example of the extra protection the reserve program gives, not only in additional partnership for our regular deputies, but also for the community," said Sheriff Jimmy Harris.

The Reserve Deputy Program was implemented in 2007.
