A Night Out In Boston

This article is more than 4 years old.

Boston’s buttoned up image may have you thinking a night out there may be a little dull. But on the contrary, new Boston is a lot of fun. With amazing restaurants, exciting clubs and now even a casino, a night out in Boston is a blast. Fight the winter blues with good friends, good food and some tasty drinks on this night out in Beantown.

8:00pm – Dinner

First, head to the Seaport for a stylish dinner at Scorpion Bar. Just a few minutes’ walk from Downtown, this trendy eatery serves a variety of tacos, burritos, fajitas and other Tex-Mex fare. Order lots of tacos for the table to share, and don’t skip the guacamole! And of course, check out the cocktail menu, which is filled with margaritas and shareable large format drinks, i.e. “Scorpion Bowls.”

Any fans of spicy margaritas have to try the Jalapeño, it hits just the right level of heat while staying refreshing. And if you are with a margarita-loving crowd, why not treat yourselves to the Case Grande large format drink to share. It will make for a great Instagram Story and it a lot of fun to share with your friends.

11:00pm – Time to Party

After Scorpion Bar head upstairs to the Grand. The Grand has over 12,000 square feet of lounge, bar and dancing space. Their kinetic light system has a 70-foot LED wall wrapping around the dance floor. On the main floor there are 2 bars, a large dance floor, VIP tables and lounge space. On the balcony overlooking the main floor, there are more dedicated VIP spaces and a private bar.  The club frequently hosts DJs from around the world. In the coming weeks Nervo, Don Diablo and Nicky Romero will all be playing at the Grand. And on New Year’s Eve DJ JD will be hitting the stage. General admission tickets are $100 and VIP tables start at $2,000 for a ten-person table. The Grand is a place to see and be seen; celebrities, professional athletes and other local personalities are regularly making appearances.

2:00am – The After Party

Unfortunately, in Boston bars and clubs have to close at 2:00am, making most last calls at 1:45am. But now we are lucky to have Encore in nearby Everett. So late night revelers that want to keep the party going, can now head over for a little gaming and just like in Vegas, complimentary drinks will be served to active gamblers until 4am. So, if you are looking for some more excitement you have until 4am at Encore. And if you get the urge to turn your night out into a staycation, grab one of their rooms, which are some of the largest on average in the Boston area. They also feature everything you would expect of a luxury Vegas brand right here in the Northeast. And then the next day, be sure to check out one of their many onsite dining options.

To continue the Vegas vibe, head to Sinatra, Chef T.J. Ricciardi’s take on modern Italian cuisine as a  tribute to Frank Sinatra. Or head to Mystique for an Asian fusion feast. Grab a a few maki rolls and something from their Robata grill and you are in for a treat.
