Asia's 50 Best Restaurants: Odette, Les Amis, and other Singapore restaurants that made the list

By: Aarika Kim

The annual Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants list is back and Hong Kong’s The Chairman has topped the list. Singapore’s Odette comes in at a close second while Japan’s kaiseki restaurant, Den rounds up the top three.

This year, instead of 50 restaurants, the list has been extended to list restaurants placed between 51 to 100. Restaurants Meta, Nouri, Esora and Candlenut, made it to 60, 73, 77 and 94 spots respectively.

The prestigious award is presented in association with San Pelligrino and Acqua Panna and gives praise to the very best restaurants across the Asian region.

Here’s a look at the eight Singapore restaurants that have made the list in the Top 50:

#2. Odette

Odette pays homage to French gastronomy while using delectably rich Asian ingredients. Dishes such as the restaurant’s signature Normandy brown crab with wasabi oil and Nashi pear and Kampot pepper-crusted pigeon have been given particular praise. Fun fact: Odette is actually named after its chef, Julien Royer’s grandmother.
