The Memorial Cup cricket tournament is being held in Arkansas for the first time.The tournament is being played in Rogers at the cricket ground just south of Rogers High School.The tournament's presence in Northwest Arkansas is part of an effort to spread cricket across the country. The 2024 Men's T20 Cricket World Cup will be played in the United States and the West Indies."Cricket has been played all over the country," Vishal Gandhi, Memorial Cup organizer, told 40/29 News. "In Arkansas, there's a lot of places to play cricket but still, Arkansas hasn't registered on the cricket map of the USA. So this is definitely going to help put Arkansas on the map."Admission to the tournament is free. Games are being played Friday through Sunday.
