Brentwood teen dies in Saturday night motorcycle crash on Franklin Road

A Brentwood High School student was killed Saturday night in a crash involving a motorcycle and a Jeep Wrangler.

Brentwood police officers were dispatched about 8 p.m. to a crash involving four teenagers. The driver of the motorcycle, 17, died in the crash.

All involved are Brentwood residents. The names were not released.

A preliminary investigation revealed that the motorcycle was driving south on Franklin Road near Murray Lane, according to a release by Brentwood police. While driving through the intersection, the motorcycle hit the Jeep. Brentwood police, Williamson County EMS personnel and passers-by all rendered aid, but the motorcycle driver was pronounced dead at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.

The 17-year-old female passenger on the motorcycle also was taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center, where she was listed in stable condition. The driver and passenger of the Jeep are both 16 years old and uninjured.
