The department started reporting daily updates early in the month, with the biggest jump on the last day of March, when 1,223 cases were reported. Divided over 24 hours, that turns out to be about 51 cases per hour.

People between the ages of 18 and 49 made up half of the cases. The next largest group, between 50 and 64 years of age, accounted for 26% with 2,131 total cases. There were 1,764 confirmations of seniors at least 65 years old, and 90 minors have tested positive.

Males accounted for 52% of the confirmed cases. Females were 46%, and the remaining 135 cases were listed as missing or unknown.

There were also 171 deaths reported by March 31.
